Rich Clarke

I was born in Kittery, Maine and aside from the 2 years my father was stationed in Guam, I have lived in New Hampshire my whole life. I attended Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire from 1992 to 1996, majoring in business management and marketing. After college I worked for a Global Networking Corporation (Cabletron Systems, Inc.), selling Service Contracts to a variety of Fortune 500 companies. In May of 2001 I made the difficult decision to leave the large corporate environment and went to work for J. Durkee & Associates, Inc., serving the needs of the juvenile product customers of New England. In September of 2001 Jeff Durkee dissolved J. Durkee & Associates, Inc., and I founded R. Clarke Sales & Associates. Inc.; continuing to serve the needs of the juvenile product customers of New England.

I currently live in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire with my wife, Michelle, and our two sons, Reese and Brady. Michelle was a Spanish Teacher at Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro until our second son, Brady, was born. It was then she decided to tackle the more-than-full-time job of being a “stay-at-home-mom”. Michelle does, however, continue to utilize the Spanish language as she is teaching both boys Spanish as well as English.

Although Wolfeboro is not centrally located in New England, and not necessarily the ideal place to be located for my travels, Michelle and I agree that my weekly overnights and extended time on the road is a small price to pay for the quality of life we are able to provide for our boys in Wolfeboro.

On the weekends, I take full advantage of the time I have with the family and spend a majority of it outside playing in the yard with the boys and our dog Juno; a chocolate lab. Living in the lakes region, we enjoy spending our summers playing in the water and take advantage of the ski mountains in the winter months.
